Australia

Start date: 1 March 2022
End date: ongoing
Incident: severe weather

The designated operator of Australia, Australia Post, had informed us that its daily operations are currently suffering disruption, in particular in the states of Queensland and New South Wales, owing to severe storms, heavy rain and flooding across the country. The processing and delivery of inbound and outbound mail items are affected.

As a result of local road closures and access issues, the implementation of safety measures and the closure of several post offices, delivery to certain postcodes is limited in flood-affected areas. The list of affected postcodes areas is updated daily and is available on Australia Post’s website at auspost.com.au/service-updates/domestic-service-updates/queensland-flooding.

Australia Post will continue to monitor the evolution of this situation and will provide updates on the impact and management thereof over the coming days.
