Incident Bulletin 19th February 2024

France

Reported: February 9, 2024
Incident: Back to normal, IT-problem

Back to normal:
La Poste, informs that the difficulties experienced from 23 January to 3 February 2024, in relation to the farmers’ movement, have now been resolved.
 
IT problem:
Additionally owing to an IT problem La Poste experiences, the serial numbers for registered items shown in its CN 33 special lists are now incorrect. Destination designated operators are asked to report any irregularities found by sending a verification note to the office of origin, in line with normal procedures.

Algeria

Incident: Back to normal

Algeria, Algérie Poste, informs that the situation has improved and that all postal operations are gradually returning to normal.

Italy

Reported: February 13, 2024
Incident: Strike

Poste Italiane, informs that a strike of several unions, not authorized by public authorities, has been ongoing from 00.01 CET on 10th February 2024, involving our commercial handler’s personnel at Malpensa airport. It has also caused the lack of access to the site for other workers, as well as stopping the arrival and departure of our shuttles to and from our Office of Exchange to Malpensa Air Mail Unit.
 
Heavy disruptions on inbound handling and outbound forwarding are occurring, despite contingency measures implemented. The end date is currently unknown, and the duration of the unrest is unclear despite local authorities have engaged in mediation efforts between the parties concerned.
Despite contingency measures being implemented February 14, the strike is causing significant disruption to the handing of inbound mail and the forwarding of outbound mail. The local authorities have engaged in mediation efforts between the parties concerned, but the end date of the strike and duration of the disruption remain unknown.
