Canada

Incident: Wildfires
Canada Post informs that the situation has improved in both British Columbia and the Northwest Territories; however, some areas of the Northwest Territories will remain under a state of emergency until 2 October 2023.
As of 22 September 2023, all mail operations have returned to normal at the affected sites.
Italy

Incident: National strike
Poste Italiane, informs that major Italian unions have confirmed a 24-hour strike, commencing at 00.01 CEST on September 29th, involving ground handlers and all other airport services personnel, in all Italian airports. Disruption is to be expected with regards to the handling of inbound and outbound airmail at Milan’s Linate and Malpensa airports. Although mitigation measures will be taken at the airmail units, the impact is expected to be extended over the weekend, until October 1st.
