Belgium

Incident: Heavy snowfalls

Belgium, bpost, informs that it has been experiencing significant operational difficulties for several days, owing to adverse weather conditions (heavy snowfall).
Several warnings were issued throughout Belgium on 17 and 18 January 2024, including a red alert on 18 January. In particular, there are prohibitions on the circulation of heavy goods traffic, causing major disruption to the entire postal supply chain.
As a result, delays are to be expected in the transportation, collection and delivery of letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items.

Thailand

Incident: IMPC changes

Thailand Post Co., Ltd, informs that the relocation and restructuring of the Laksi Mail Centre CP (former Bangkok Mail Centre) office of exchange (IMPC code: THBKKA), effective 1 February 2024.
THBKKA will be moved to the same location as THBKKD. The new name for THBKKA will be BKK – LAKSI MAIL CENTRE A CP. The new name for THBKKD will be BKK – LAKSI MAIL CENTRE D LC/AO.
 
This transition may affect the processing of inbound and outbound mail and cause delays in the delivery of items.
