Incident bulletin 9th February 2018

This week’s bulletin contains updates about: France, Cyprus, Chad, China and Brazil.

 

France

Start date: 6th February

La Poste has advised that delays will be experienced in the collection, processing and delivery of all postal items throughout France. Paris and the Paris Region (Île-de-France) were hit by a heavy snowstorm on 6 February 2018. The French authorities have put in place an emergency plan prohibiting heavy vehicles from entering the Île-de-France road network.

Cyprus

Start date:                 9th February
Estimated end date: 11th February

Cyprus Post wishes to inform that it will proceed with an upgrade of the IT infrastructure. Owing to this fact, dispatches of all mail classes will be affected (inbound and outbound); in addition, EDI transmission will be interrupted from that day to Sunday, 11 February 2018.

Chad

Start date: 1st February

STPE, The Postal Operator in Chad has informed us that they have not been able to dispatch or deliver mail since 1 Feb 2018 due to strike action.

China

Start date:                      15th February
Estimated end date:       21st February

From the 15th until the 21st of February there will be Chinese New Year and Spring Festival celebrations in China. Local deliveries in China are expected to be delayed during this period due to extreme volume increase.

Brazil

Start date:                      6th  February
Estimated end date:       9th  February
