The designated operator of Lebanon, LibanPost, wishes to inform that the Internet connectivity issue has been resolved and the Internet has been stable for the last several days.

LibanPost has therefore resumed normal operations.

Incident: weather issues

Damages reported following heavy winds and rainfalls: heavy winds, rainfalls and flooding on September 1 have caused road disruptions across parts of Spain, particularly in parts of the Tarragona province, the Navarra region and the central Castilla-La Mancha region.
Transport disruptions are likely to occur throughout the coming days as clean-up efforts take place. 

Sri Lanka

The designated operator of Sri Lanka, the Department of Posts, wishes to inform that the Government of Sri Lanka has extended the national lockdown until 6 September 2021.

Therefore, the restrictions previously announced will continue to apply. 


United States

Incident: flooding

A state of emergency has been declared for the US state of New Jersey and New York City in the evening of September 1 due to severe flooding, brought by remnants of Hurricane Ida. Newark Liberty International Airport suspended all flight activity for several hours in the evening of September 1, while flight disruptions have also been reported for New York City airports LaGuardia and JFK. Major transport disruptions should be anticipated throughout the coming days.
