Greece

Start date:                      26th January
Estimated end date:       2nd February

On January 26, the designated operator of Greece, Hellenic Post – ELTA, indicated that following the implementation of new customs procedures, delays in the handling of inbound postal dispatches and delivery of items have been reduced. For EMS and parcels, the situation has returned to normal, while for letter post the backlog has been reduced to around one week for inbound mail from non EU-countries subject to customs control.

USA

Start date:                      30th January

On January 30, weather and traffic reports showed that light snow was causing disruptions in the north-east. Roadways were being impacted in Long Island, the New York City metropolitan area, most of Connecticut and Rhode Island, and eastern Massachusetts.

China

Start date:                      15th February
Estimated end date:       21st February

From the 15th until the 21st of February there will be Chinese New Year and Spring Festival celebrations in China. Local deliveries in China are expected to be delayed during this period due to extreme volume increase.

India

Start date:                      1st  February
Estimated end date:       2nd February
