This week’s bulletin contains the latest information about Estonia, Maldives, Moldova, Philippines.
The designated operator of Estonia, Estonian Post, informs that the Estonian Government ended the state of emergency on 17 May 2020 and all postal services will therefore resume as normal.
Estonian Post would like to indicate that, with effect from 12 June, all inbound items will be delivered as follows:
- Delivery standards will be met as agreed;
- Registered letters will be delivered to the addressee with collection of the addressee’s signature;
- All courier shipments requiring a signature will be delivered to the addressee and a photo taken of the address card signed by the addressee.
Maldives Post has informed that the Government of the Maldives has decided to extend the sanitary measures, including the lockdown of the Malé region, until 30 June 2020. The partial opening of government institutions to provide essential services is likewise extended until 30 June.
Access to postal outlets remains subject to restrictions, and measures to minimize human contact remain in force.
The designated operator of Moldova, S.E. “Poșta Moldovei”, informs that all postal services have resumed and it is now able to process and deliver inbound and outbound mail. Member countries and their designated operators are encouraged to send mail to Moldova using the existing options.
Poșta Moldovei has officially resumed outbound services with the following destinations: Argentina, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria (Rep.) , China (People’s Rep.), Croatia, Czech Rep., Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, China, Hungary, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea (Rep.), Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russian Federation, Senegal, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States of America , Uruguay, Viet Nam.
The designated operator of the Philippines, PHLPost, informs that, as a precautionary measure and to prevent the possible spread of COVID-19 among PHLPost staff, Central Post Office Headquarters in Manila will be closed for disinfection from 18 to 25 June 2020.
However, the following international mail processing centres have now resumed operations as from 19 June 2020:
- PHMNLA, MNL CMEC Air – Letter and parcel-post air dispatches
- PHMNLB, MNL CMEC EMS – Express post dispatches
