This week’s bulletin contains updates about: United Kingdom, France, Greece and Austria.

United Kingdom

Start date: 22nd September

International mail flows to the United Kingdom have recently been subjected to increased surveillance measures by the UK Border Force. These more intensive checks are designed to improve public safety but of course may delay the processing and delivery of  mail and parcel shipments both to and from United Kingdom.

Greece

Start date: 22nd September
End date:  24th September

Due to industrial action announced by PanHellenic Seamen’s Federation and ferry blockages to Greek Islands on 22 and 23 September. This will delay the inbound and outbound of mail service between the mainland and the Islands.

France

Start date: 22nd September
End date:  24th September
A delay is expected for some mail at the Le Havre Airport (76620) distribution centre due to an industrial action.

Expect a two days delay for some mail from the below departments due to a technical problem on the Bonneuil / Bordeaux link. Departments 02, 03, 08, 10, 14, 15, 16,18, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 36, 37, 39, 41, 43, 45, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, 61, 63, 67, 70, 71, 72, 75, 76, 77, 78, 79, 80, 86, 87, 88, 90, 91, 82, 93, 94 and 95 to departments 24.33, 40, 47 and 64.

Austria

Start date: 12th September
End date:  3rd October

Klagenfurt Airport (KLU) will be closed to all air traffic due to runway maintenance work. The reopening is planned for 4 October.
