Severe weather caused considerable disruption in rail, road and air traffic on 22 June, particularly in northern and eastern Germany. Major railway routes have been interrupted, and highway sections were closed. Flights at Berlin’s Tegel and Schoenefeld airports were either canceled or delayed.

Several trade unions in Brazil have called for a general strike to shut down Brazil’s largest cities.
Chile

Severe weather affected central and southern Chile, causing flooding, damage to buildings and roads as well as power outages. The regions of Biobío and Araucanía were most affected. Also in Santiago Metropolitan Region, many roads were inundated.
Sri Lanka

Postal unions in Sri Lanka announced to launch further strike action. Unless averted, delays in mail processing and delivery are expected.
Uzbekistan

Samarkand International Airport (SKD) will be closed for runway reconstruction. Uzbekistan Airways will be operating no flights to the airport during this period.
