Please be informed that due announced bomb in postal item, there was restricted operation at OE Bratislava 090 on 13.02.2020. Almost all dispatches arrived in this day were delayed.
Since Friday the operation is back to normal, but due doubled volume of material there still could be some delay.

Saudi Arabia

Saudi Post informs other Union member countries and their designated operators that, effective 25 February 2020, Saudi Post will resume the sending of mails to the State of Qatar, using open and closed transit options via Oman.

Union organises postal strike for March 3: the Central Sindical e Popular (CSP) is organising a strike at Correios for March 3. The primary grievance is around healthcare costs. Those conducting business with Correios across Brazil should anticipate the possibility of a strike and plan accordingly.

Mail suspension due to Corona virus – update

Below Postal operators would like to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that, owing to the suspension until further notice of flights from partner airlines to China (People’s Rep.), they are currently unable to send letter-post, parcel-post or EMS items to China.

They are therefore declaring a situation of force majeure and ceasing, with immediate effect, to accept letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items destined for China, until sufficient transport capacity becomes available.

South Africa – since 3rd February
Spain – since 4th February
Croatia, Georgia – since 6th February
Serbia, Zimbabwe – since 7th February
United States, Jamaica – since 10th February
Singapore, Austria – since 11th February

Technical Problems

Thailand Post informs that it is currently moving from the Customs Declaration System to the CDS platform, which will be interfaced with IPS accordingly.

Although the CDS local migration started on 31 January 2020, it is taking longer than expected owing to technical problems that may affect EDI transmission to and from mailbox TH501.

Posta Romana (RO) would like to inform all members that on February 23rd, 2020 will start the upgrading procedure for the IPS (International Postal System) software migrating to IPS v2018.
Every effort will be made to resume transmission of the events as rapidly as possible.
