Germany

On 16 and 17 September, customs will carry out a release change in its clearance system ATLAS. During this period, communication with customs’ systems is not possible. All import and export sectors are affected. As a result, delays in customs clearance are possible.
Italy

Severe weather hit northwestern Italy, causing floods and damage to infrastructure. The Tuscan city of Livorno was most affected. But also in the regions of Liguria and Piedmont as well as in the capital Rome, roads were flooded and transport links closed.
Spain

The planned nationwide strikes by airport workers in Spain, scheduled to take place on 25 days in the period from 15 September to 30 December, have been called off.
Croatia

Heavy rain caused severe flooding in Croatia. The city of Zadar in northern Dalmatia is particularly affected; entire parts are under water. Many roads as well as parts of the E65 Highway have been blocked.
USA

USPS, wishes to update designated operators of UPU member countries on the status of its operations in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma, which struck South Florida on the morning of Sunday, 10 September 2017.
The office of exchange located in the Miami area has partially reopened and is operating in a degraded mode. Electrical power has not been fully restored, and processing operations are impacted. Mail that arrives at Miami Airport for processing at the OE may be delayed at the ramp or freight houses until the International Service Centre is fully functional, which is likely to be within the next day or two. Processing and delivery in the south-eastern United States surrounding Miami is impacted by the effects of the storm.
Australia

Due to strong winds, Sydney Airport (SYD) was forced to shut down two of its three runways. Numerous flights were cancelled or delayed.
South Korea

Due to a 10-day period of national holidays, running from 30 September to 9 October 2017, there will an operational stoppage for 10 days resulting in the shut-down of the office of exchange, the domestic mail centre and delivery offices. Delays can be expected in the processing of in- and outbound postal streams.

Heavy rains across Luzon Island caused flooding in the regions of Metro Manila, Central Luzon and Calabarzon.
Mexico

A magnitude 8.2 earthquake has severely impacted the South Region of Mexico with the states of Chiapas and Oaxaca being worst-hit. While mail into Mexico City is not affected, local mail delivery in the earthquake impacted areas will be delayed.
Brazil

Due to construction work, international air traffic at Natal Airport (NAT) will be suspended.
