United Kingdom

East Midlands Airport (EMA) will shut for seven consecutive weekends to resurface the runway. It will close to all traffic at 20:00 on a Saturday and reopens 20:00 on a Monday.
Portugal

The Portuguese federation of workers’ union (civil servants) has announced it is going to strike. This could result in delays in mail delivery services.
China

Owing to unprecedented volumes of parcels imported into Shanghai and Guangzhou, there are currently a number of issues with China Customs, resulting in large backlogs in their facilities. These problems are compounded by the high delivery volume within China, resulting in delays in mail delivery services on parcels addressed to postcodes beginning with the numbers 2, 3 (with the exception of 30), 4 and 5.
Brazil

Delays are to be expected in the processing of inbound and outbound EMS items as a result of industrial action being taken by Brazilian customs staff responsible for inspecting such items.
Chile

The strike by Chilean customs staff is still ongoing and delays in the processing of all incoming and outgoing postal items (letters, small packets, parcels and EMS) are to be expected until further notice.
India

Due to reconstruction work of runways at Mumbai airport (BOM), air traffic is restricted. Between October 18 and 28, every Tuesday and Thursday air traffic will be operated from 12:00 to 17:00 on a smaller runway. From October 28 to November 30, both runways will be closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
